When making a judgment about the level a pupil has achieved it is important to remember that it is nearly impossible to determine their overall level from a single piece of work. An end-of-year or Key Stage assessment will need to be formed from a range of work produced over time. Moderating judgments against an ICT portfolio of a sample of pupils’ work is a valuable approach to help inform the agreed standards of work across the school. Samples should be drawn from all areas of ICT and all levels. |
