The South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL) has developed Merlin, a system which will provide the foundation for your school’s learning platform. Over time, it will allow the different ICT systems in your school (administrative systems such as SIMs and those connected with learning) to be integrated and accessed through a single log-in.
It will also provide users with personal online space and a range of regional collaboration tools, facilitating working together through shared spaces

What will Merlin Provide?

This guide provides a summary of the main features within the SWGfL Merlin service (more detailed information, included technical specifications and training materials will be available later this year).

My First Place is designed to support the key elements outlined in the Early Years     Foundation Stage framework and KS1 curriculum. It provides a safe and exciting area for children to explore topics and resources and develop their ICT skills. Through My First Place children can develop their learning potential through activities that are fun, motivating, enabling and entirely relevant in young children’s lives today.
